Join us in supporting our Brighter Smiles campaign and help us prevent tooth decay and make a sustainable difference to local children across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.
Our campaign is dedicated to making a difference to children’s oral health across Cornish communities through:
Our activities are a fun way of embedding good oral health from an early age and delivering sound advice about the best oral health regimes for a sustainably future of bright, confident and healthy smiles. If you can help us identify a generous supporter to fund the delivery of Brighter Smiles in your community, please contact us.
We love working with other dental professionals who share our ‘prevention is better than cure’ outlook and, like us, care deeply about the oral health of children in their local community and the younger generation. In some cases, their dental nurses have undertaken training with us and joined our bank of volunteers to deliver the campaign in local schools. In other cases dental students have helped us deliver oral health education, thus adding to their skills and experience. If you would like to discuss supporting Brighter Smiles by offering your services, please get in touch, we’d be delighted to hear from you, but please note that due to the pandemic we are currently restricted in what we can offer.
There are three levels of volunteering support for Brighter Smiles:
We simply can’t achieve all that we do without the generosity of our supporters as this type of work is not currently funded by the NHS in Cornwall. On average our campaign costs around £10 per pupil – based on 25 pupils this works out at just £250 to support a whole class or nursery, up to £1500 to support an average-size school of one-form intake each year, or anywhere in between depending how much you are able to commit. We seek a minimum three year commitment so that together we make a lasting difference to the oral health of a local community.
In return we provide a range of mutually beneficial opportunities for our supporters who benefit from:
Help us improve the oral health of more Cornish children in your local community by becoming a supporter. Please contact us – it’s a great way to demonstrate your Corporate Social Responsibility and local community support.
